Quick brief
What do you need to know first?
The short answer on minis, percs and what rings up with them.
Quick Answer: A mini dab rig is a compact glass rig, usually 4 to 6 inches tall, built to keep the vapor path short. Stock a few 6-inch minis, a perc mini and a recycler, then sell a banger, cap and pearls with every one. The Jammer and perc minis here take a 14mm joint.
A mini dab rig is the piece most first-time dab customers ask for. It’s small, it’s easy to handle, and it doesn’t take up much room in your case. Here’s what to stock, what to sell with it, and where it fits next to your bigger glass.
The basics
What is a mini dab rig, and why do smoke shops carry them?
Start here if your dab section is only full-size rigs.
A mini dab rig is a small glass rig for concentrates, usually 4 to 6 inches tall. The short vapor path is the selling point, and the small size keeps it easy to handle and easy to display.
The smaller the chamber, the less distance between the banger and the mouthpiece. That’s why flavor-focused customers ask for a mini by name. The four Roots Glass minis in the Mini Dab Rig Bundle run 6 to 6.5 inches, at the top of that size range.
For a shop, the case for minis is simple. They’re compact, so a full row fits where a few tall rigs would. They’re the easy first rig for a customer who’s new to concentrates. And they’re the price-friendly landing spot when a customer falls for glass that’s past their budget.

What I’d stock
What would I stock in a mini dab rig section today?
The short list first. The rest of this guide explains each line.
The 8-count mini rig bundle, a tree perc and a circ perc mini, one recycler mini, two or three nicer recyclers for the top shelf, and flat top bangers, caps, pearls, a slurper and a control tower beside them.
If I were building the mini section this month, here’s the list:
- Core row: the 8-count bundle, which packs four mini styles including the Jammer.
- Diffusion: a tree perc mini and a circ perc mini.
- Trade-up: one mini recycler that ships with a banger.
- Top shelf: a Gilly recycler and an RBR recycler with opal.
- Parts: 14mm flat top bangers, directional caps, terp pearls, a slurper and a control tower.
That covers the new customer, the returning dab customer and the one who walked in for the top shelf, without overbuying a single shape.
The lineup
Which mini dab rig styles should you stock?
Four kinds of mini, four jobs in the case.
Carry 6-inch minis as the core, a perc or diffuser mini for diffusion, a recycler mini as the trade-up, and a banger-included mini for first-time buyers. That covers every customer who asks for a mini.
Shape matters less than two things: how the rig diffuses, and what ships in the box. The second one decides what else the customer has to buy before they can dab.
| Mini type | What ships with it | Who it’s for |
|---|---|---|
| The bundle’s minis, like the Jammer mini rig | A 14mm bowl | Customers who already own a banger |
| Perc minis: two-hole diffuser, showerhead perc, tree perc, circ perc | A 14mm bowl on the tree perc and circ perc minis in this guide | Customers who want more diffusion |
| Recycler minis | A quartz banger on the one in this guide | Customers trading up |
| Banger-included minis | A quartz banger | First-time dab buyers |
The Jammer mini rig is the core shape: 6 inches, a 14mm joint and a water diffuser. The tree perc and circ perc minis add diffusion in the same 6-inch size. Browse the full mini dab rigs category for every perc and color.

The add-ons
What should you sell with every mini dab rig?
The rig is half the sale. The parts are the other half.
Bangers, carb caps, terp pearls and pillars, slurpers and control towers. A dab rig sells with its parts, and a rig that ships with a bowl can’t dab until the customer buys a banger and a cap.
Check the listing before you ring up a mini. Several minis we carry ship with a 14mm bowl, not a banger. A customer who wants to dab with one needs a banger in the matching joint size and a carb cap. That’s not a flaw. It’s a ticket builder.
| Add-on | What it does | Sell it with |
|---|---|---|
| Flat top banger | Holds the dab; a cap seals the top | Every rig that ships with a bowl |
| Carb cap | Seals the banger and steers airflow | Every banger |
| Terp pearls | Spin under a directional cap | Flat top bangers |
| Slurper and control tower | Higher-airflow quartz for trading up | Pillars, pearls and a slurper cap |
The flat top bangers we carry include a 25mm full weld, and the out reach flat top is listed at 90 degrees for standard rigs. The mini control tower is a full weld with a 14mm top. Keep them beside the minis, not across the store.
Our quartz banger stocking guide covers how to tier them, and the wholesale quartz bangers category has every one.

Caps and pearls ride along with the banger, and they’re what turns a mini into a setup. Keep directional caps from your wholesale carb caps case and packs from terp pearls and pillars within arm’s reach of the rigs.

The ladder
Why should you carry a spectrum of dab rigs, not just minis?
How nicer glass and minis work together at the counter.
Because customers look at the nicer glass first. Keep a few nicer recyclers on the top shelf and minis below them, so a customer who’s over budget steps down to a mini plus a banger.
That’s the ladder. The top shelf pulls the customer in. When the price is past their budget, walk them to the mini section and upsell the banger and its accessories. The ticket ends up bigger than the mini alone.
The nicer recyclers we carry make the top of the ladder: an 8-inch Gilly recycler with opal, a 7-inch RBR halo recycler and an RBR recycler with faceted opal. Wholesale pricing is behind your account login, so you’ll set each tier once you can see live numbers.
From the Counter — Walk them down the ladder
What I tell shops: carry a spectrum, including some nicer recyclers. A customer who comes in looking is always going to look at the nicer glass first. When the price is past their budget, that’s when you bring them to the mini rig section.
Then you upsell them on a banger and the banger accessories, and you get a bigger ticket. For a first-timer, I’d start them on a mini with a flat top banger. Flat tops are easier to clean than slurpers. A Q-tip does it.
Stocking plan
How should you display and reorder mini dab rigs?
Small rigs earn their space when they sit with the parts.
Put minis at eye level in the dab case, with bangers, caps and pearls within reach and the nicer recyclers on the shelf above. Reorder the core minis and the bangers together.
Minis are small enough to show as a row. A row of four styles reads as a choice, not a pile. The fastest way to stock that row is the bundle.
For the trade-up, keep one recycler mini on display. Our recyclers category has the mini and full-size ones, and the bundles page has the other mixed packs.
Start with the stocking list near the top of this guide, then reorder the core minis and the bangers together. That’s the whole section.
Why most wholesale guides get mini dab rigs wrong
Distributor catalogs list minis by height and color, then stop. They treat the mini as the whole sale. It isn’t. A mini that ships with a bowl, sold to a customer who wants to dab, walks out unusable.
Sell the mini as the bottom of a ladder and the start of a setup. The banger, cap and pearls go with it, and the nicer recycler above it is what brought the customer to the case.

Buyer questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Short answers to what buyers search before they order minis.
What size is a mini dab rig?
Usually 4 to 6 inches tall. The four Roots Glass minis in the Mini Dab Rig Bundle run 6 to 6.5 inches.
Are mini dab rigs better for flavor?
The short vapor path is the reason customers pick them: less chamber between the banger and the mouthpiece, so more of the flavor reaches them.
What joint size do mini dab rigs use?
Mostly 10mm or 14mm. The Jammer and perc minis in this guide take 14mm, so one banger size covers the row.
What should a smoke shop sell with a mini dab rig?
A banger in the matching joint size, a carb cap, terp pearls, a dab tool and a torch. Add a slurper or control tower with pillars for customers trading up.
What perc styles come in mini dab rigs?
Two-hole diffusers, showerhead percs, tree percs and circ percs. The tree perc and circ perc minis in this guide are 6 inches tall and ship with a 14mm bowl.
Can a smoke shop buy mini dab rigs in a mixed bundle?
Yes. The 8-count Mini Dab Rig Bundle we carry packs two each of four Roots Glass mini styles, including the Jammer.
How do I see wholesale pricing on mini dab rigs?
