I’m Jared, founder of Roots Glass. Here’s where we came from — and why I build glass for shops like yours.
2014. Where it started.
Walked into a smoke shop in 2014 to grab a bong. Met the guys selling glass into that shop, became their first employee. For the next several years I drove door to door to smoke shops all over California — saw every kind of piece move through every kind of shop, from import glass to Heady’s worth thousands of dollars. I learned exactly what sells, what sits on the shelf, and what hits good versus what just looks cool. By the end I could walk into a shop and tell you what would move and what would collect dust. We grew that operation past $1M in annual sales.
2023. Roots Glass.
I always had a huge personal collection — bongs, dab rigs, ash catchers, tubes. Heady glass is a beautiful art form, but the prices hit the thousands. So in 2023 I started Roots Glass to fill the gap: dope designs that actually hit good, priced so shops can mark them up and still move them.
Every shop I work with stocking pieces their customers are stoked with, knowing the difference between a Terp Slurper and a Flat Top Banger, and never stuck guessing what’ll sell. There’s a lot of styles out there — it gets confusing. That’s why we’re here.
