Carta Glass Top Guide for Smoke Shops: What Fits and What to Stock

Carta Glass Top Guide for Smoke Shops: What Fits and What to Stock

Quick brief

What do you need to know first?

The answer, the stocking call behind it, and what this guide covers.

Quick Answer: A Carta glass top is the swappable glass piece on a Focus V Carta e-rig. Stock one dry top and one chambered attachment, and confirm each listing’s fit first. Focus V says its official Carta glass fits every Carta model, including the Carta Sport, and that Puffco glass does not fit.

A Carta glass top is a small, swappable piece that a Carta owner replaces when it cracks or wears, or changes to tune the draw. This guide covers which Carta models the glass fits, why Puffco glass is a separate lane, and what to put in your e-rig case first.

The basics

What is a Carta glass top, and why would a smoke shop carry one?

Start here if Carta owners already ask your staff about glass.

A Carta glass top is the glass attachment on a Focus V Carta, the electric dab rig Focus V sells through smoke shops and glass stores. Customers replace it when it breaks or wears and swap it to change the draw, which makes it a small, repeat line for shops with Carta owners.

Focus V calls the Carta Sport a smart electric dab rig and says it works with Focus V’s own Carta glass attachments. That fit statement covers Focus V’s glass only. The fitment section below covers the Carta pieces we carry.

Focus V says the Carta is sold through authorized smoke shops and glass stores, and that many of them also carry compatible glass attachments, atomizers and accessories. The Carta glass we carry sits in its own category, and it sells well for us.

For a piece-by-piece look at the tops themselves, see our Carta glass attachments roundup. This guide is the buyer side: fit, the Puffco mix-up, dry versus chambered, and what to order first.

Fitment

Which Carta models does Carta glass fit?

Fit is the first question a Carta owner asks, so this section settles what Focus V says and what our listings say.

Focus V says every official Carta glass top fits all Carta models, including the Carta Sport, and that Carta Sport glass follows the same fitment standard as the rest of the line. That statement covers Focus V’s own glass. For any other Carta top, the listing is your fit check.

For Focus V’s own glass only, a Carta 2 glass top and a Carta Sport glass top share one fitment standard, per Focus V.

Each Carta piece we carry is listed as designed for Carta setups, and none of those listings names a specific model. Ask us which models they fit before you promise a Carta Sport owner anything.

The Carta Sport question is worth having an answer for. US searches for “carta sport glass” went from about 170 in September 2025 to about 480 in August 2026, according to DataForSEO. Your staff should have the fit answer ready before the customer asks.

The mix-up

Why won’t Puffco glass fit a Carta?

E-rig glass looks alike in a case, so this section keeps the platforms apart.

Because Carta glass uses its own proprietary fitment. Focus V says Puffco glass is not compatible with the Carta, and that its glass is designed within specific ecosystems. Treat each e-rig platform as its own glass lane, labeled by rig, so a customer never walks out with a top that won’t seat.

This matters most in a shop that carries more than one platform. The Puffco attachments we carry are built for Puffco models, and the Dr. Dabber Switch 2 glass we carry is listed for the Switch 2. Keep Carta glass in its own labeled row with the rest of your e-rig accessories.

Focus V draws the same line inside its own catalog. Its Carta glass tops fit across Carta models, and its Aeris glass is built for the Aeris. Glass is sold by platform, so stock it by platform.

From the Counter — Know Which Rig the Customer Owns

Before anyone hands over Carta glass, I tell shops to get the category straight. Focus V is one of the e-rig makers, alongside Puffco and Dr. Dabber. An e-rig is an electronic dab rig. It does the same job as a glass dab rig, but a battery does the heating instead of a torch.

So a glass dab rig is torch plus banger, and an e-rig is battery plus atomizer. They are sibling categories, not the same thing. And a dab pen is something else again: a portable vape battery, not a rig.

Dry vs chambered

Should you stock a dry top, a chambered attachment or both?

This section covers the two glass styles worth carrying first.

Both, one of each to start. Focus V says a glass top can add features like water filtration, depending on the attachment, and that a different style can change airflow resistance, vapor density and smoothness. A dry top and a chambered attachment give a Carta owner a real choice.

The Clear Opal Dry Carta Glass Top is a Carta dry top. Its listing calls it a dry top design for direct airflow that is easy to clean, with no water chamber to stress.

The Clear Mini Opal Carta Glass Attachment is the compact chambered piece. Its listing describes a compact mini design with smooth airflow, and the listing photo shows an inner diffuser and an opal accent. Ask us whether it takes water before you pitch it as a water piece.

Carry one of each before you go deep on either. Sell-through will tell you which way your Carta owners lean, and that is the one you reorder. Wholesale pricing is behind your account login.

Reorders

What brings a Carta owner back for more glass?

Carta glass is a repeat line, and these are the reasons it repeats.

Breakage, wear and swaps. Focus V says to replace its glass when you see cracks, loose fitment, airflow restriction or visible wear, and notes that switching glass styles changes the draw. Each of those is a return visit, and the shop with the right Carta glass top in stock gets it.

A Carta glass replacement is not a style decision. The customer needs a top that fits their rig, and they need it now. Focus V says its replacement glass restores the rig to its original performance.

Cleaning is the other reason. Focus V says glass plays a direct role in reclaim buildup and airflow, and it tells Carta Sport owners to use recommended tools and cleaning supplies regularly. Keep a few cleaning supplies near the Carta glass so the upkeep sells with the top.

Glass breaks, and that is part of why it reorders. It is also why we back what we ship. If a piece arrives damaged, we replace it, no hoops. That is the Arrival Guarantee.

Stocking plan

What would I stock first?

A short opening order for a shop adding Carta glass tops to the case.

One dry top and one chambered attachment, stocked in their own labeled row next to your other e-rig glass, with cleaning supplies beside them. Confirm the model fit before you promise it, and let sell-through decide which style you reorder deeper.

Here is what I would stock first:

  • The dry lane: the Clear Opal Dry Carta Glass Top, for customers who want direct airflow with no water chamber.
  • The chambered lane: the Clear Mini Opal Carta Glass Attachment, the compact option with an inner diffuser.
  • A fit answer at the register: Focus V says its official Carta glass fits every Carta model, including the Carta Sport. For anything else, check the listing, and ask us about ours.
  • Cleaning supplies beside the glass: Focus V ties clean glass to airflow, so the upkeep belongs next to the top.
  • Separate platform rows: Carta, Puffco and Dr. Dabber Switch 2 glass, each in its own labeled spot.

Why most wholesale guides get this wrong

Most Carta glass roundups sell the top as a style upgrade: a recycler here, a new color there. That skips the buyer who needs glass today.

Focus V’s own advice is to replace glass when it cracks, loosens or wears, and to keep it clean. A Carta owner with a broken top needs a fit answer and a piece in stock, not a style menu. Stock for the replacement buyer first, then add the upgrades.

Buyer questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Short answers to the Carta glass questions that show up in search results.

Do the Carta Sport and Carta 2 use the same glass?

Focus V says every official Carta glass top fits all Carta models, including the Carta Sport, and that Carta Sport glass follows the same fitment standard as the rest of the Carta line. That covers Focus V glass. For glass from other makers, check the model fit on the product listing before you stock it.

Can you use Puffco glass on a Carta?

No. Focus V says Carta glass tops use their own proprietary fitment, so Puffco glass is not compatible. Keep Puffco attachments and Carta glass in separate, clearly labeled rows so a customer does not leave with glass that will not fit the rig they own.

Does a different Carta glass top change the hit?

It can. Focus V says a different Carta glass attachment can noticeably change airflow resistance, vapor density and smoothness. Some designs open the draw and others tighten it. That is the reason to carry more than one style, starting with a dry top and a chambered attachment.

Should a smoke shop stock a dry Carta top or a chambered attachment?

Both, one of each to start. A dry top gives direct airflow with no water chamber. Focus V says a glass top can add water filtration depending on the attachment, so ask us whether a chambered piece takes water. Let sell-through tell you which style to reorder deeper.
