Temperature Readers

Wholesale temperature readers are the infrared thermometers your dab customers reach for to nail the right banger temp every session — the Dab Rite and Terpometer-style IR wands that read quartz surface heat in real time. They sit in the high-margin impulse zone next to your quartz bangers and dab rigs, and they move fast once a buyer learns that guessing the timer wastes concentrate. Stock them at the counter where every dabber sees them.

What you’ll stock

This section is the temperature-control end of the dab counter — the readers and the small parts that keep them in service.

  • IR thermometer wands — point-and-read infrared guns in the Dab Rite and Terpometer style; the everyday seller.
  • Docking stands — keep the wand upright and charged next to the rig; a steady add-on attach.
  • Replacement accessories — charging cables and stands for buyers who already own a reader.

What is a dab thermometer?

A dab thermometer is a handheld infrared reader that measures the surface temperature of a hot quartz banger without touching it. It points an IR sensor at the quartz and shows a live number, so the dabber drops in their concentrate at a chosen temp instead of guessing off a timer. The Dab Rite and Terpometer are the two best-known designs.

What temperature is best for dabs?

Most dabbers land between roughly 500°F and 600°F, depending on the concentrate and the flavor they want. Low-temp dabs (around 500–545°F) keep terpenes and taste; higher temps (around 580–600°F) give bigger, hotter pulls. A reader takes the guesswork out, which is the whole pitch — less wasted product, more consistent hits.

How do you use an IR dab thermometer?

You heat the banger, then point the thermometer at the quartz and watch the number drop as it cools. Many readers flash or beep at a preset target temp. When it hits the window the dabber wants, they load the concentrate and cap it. No touching, no timer, no scorched dabs — that is the upgrade over the old count-to-45 method.

Is there an order minimum on wholesale temperature readers?

No. We set no minimums, no pallet commitments. Reorder whatever moves.

Do I need a license to buy wholesale?

You’ll need a seller’s permit or sales-tax (resale) certificate to open a wholesale account — that’s it. No medical or cannabis license is required, since glass and accessories aren’t controlled. Sign up, send us the cert, and we’ll get you approved.

How much margin is in temperature readers?

Plan on about 2x the wholesale price, plus roughly $10 on top for wiggle room. You set your own retail price.

How fast can I restock?

Orders ship in about 2 business days. We are a small crew based in Huntington Beach, California, with over a decade in the industry, so reorders move quickly.

What if a reader arrives broken?

Send us a photo and we replace it — breakage in transit is on us. That is the Arrival Guarantee.

Can I get custom or private-label temperature readers?

We run our own line, so custom and private-label work is possible. Send us an email for a quote.
