What is a mini dab rig?

A mini dab rig is a small water pipe built for concentrates instead of flower. It works like any rig — heat a banger, add a dab, cap it — but the shorter glass and smaller chamber sit the vapor closer to the mouthpiece, so less of the flavor is lost on the way up.

Why do smaller rigs hit better?

Smaller rigs preserve terpenes. A short water path means the vapor cools just enough without the long pull that mutes flavor in a tall rig, which is why dabbers who chase taste reach for a mini. The trade-off is a warmer hit and less filtration than a full-size piece.

How much water does a mini dab rig need?

Just enough to cover the percolator slits — usually a capful or two. Mini rigs hold very little water, so overfilling pulls liquid into the mouthpiece. Tell customers to fill, test the pull, and pour off the excess.

How much margin is in mini dab rigs?

Most shops run them at about 2x the wholesale price, plus roughly $10 on top for wiggle room. The lower price point moves fast, so the volume makes up for the smaller per-unit dollar. You set your own retail price.
